Ahh! The beginning of summer and although we Texans don’t look forward to the heat one thing is for certain, we can’t get enough of extreme metal. There are so many shows coming through and when times are tough like it is now a days and money is short I can’t stress enough how awesome these bigger tours are. Talk about getting your monies worth!
Metal fans are in for a treat this summer when Affliction’s Summer Slaughter Tour rolls through San Antonio with 2 dates for our metal loving city, and what better place to have it at than The White Rabbit, known for hosting many of our cities most intense metal shows. Summer Slaughter threatens to be the most extreme tour of the year with the largest collection of the most evil bands on the freaking planet.

Road warriors 10 Years will be making a mid-week stop in the Alamo City on Wednesday, June 10, hitting the San Antonio Scout Bar at 19314 US 281N, along with Silverstone. Doors open at 7 p.m. for this all ages show, and tickets cost about $18.50.
Hailing from Knoxville, Tennessee, 10 Years is still reaping rewards for their sophomore Universal Republic release, "Division," which gathered a bevy of chart honors during the spring and summer of 2098. The release took the #1 spot on iTunes rock page, the #12 spot on the Billboard Top Albums chart, and the #2 position on the Top Alternative Albums chart, among other Top Ten landings.
Produced by veteran Rick Parashar (Pearl Jam, Nickelback, Soundgarden, Rob Zombie), Division was the follow-up to their breakthrough Universal Republic debut, "The Autumn Effect," which heralded both alternative and mainstream success for the band.
Known for their provocative approach in crafting their songs, "The Autumn Effect," which barely missed making platinum status, unleashed one of 2005-2006’s biggest rock radio hits with the single "Wasteland."
